The specific and unique L-shaped design of the AF compressor has multiple effects on the efficiency and lifetime making it the most sustainable piece of equipment. It achieves compression in 3 stages, with only two piston rod assemblies, so there are few moving parts. The mechanics of the compressor and its transmission system are perfectly adapted to operate at low speeds and to allow greater flexibility to meet customer needs by offering a wide range of compressor models.

One of AF permanent focus is on energy sobriety by consuming less thanks to all its strengths. More recently it has also moved on energy efficiency by consuming differently thanks for instance to the heat recovery system with 80% of the compressor mechanical power convertible into heat power.

  • Eliminated Sealing Requirements: By removing piston rod packing on the 3rd stage, we eliminate the need to seal against 40 bar pressure, resulting in less energy loss and more efficiency.
  • Optimized Stages: The single-acting 2nd and 3rd stages feature fewer valves and smaller, horizontally placed components. This not only conserves energy but also enhances piston ring longevity.
